The parks can be accessed by the General Highway which climbs 5,000 feet through foothills to the magnificence of the sequoia groves. Trails and areas abound for exploration in all seasons of the year.

Sierra View Golf Course and Valley Oaks Golf Course offer amazing views of the San Joaquin Valley and the nearby Sierra Nevada Mountains. Sierra Lakes Campground at Kaweah Lake
The Tulare County area has several campground areas and one of the most popular is Kaweah Lake located a short 20 miles east of Visalia. If camping is not your style, the area has houseboats for rent. And remember to bring your fishing pole to spend some time at the lake stocked full of trout, catfish, bass, blue gill and crappie.
Boating and Fishing
Boating and fishing are popular activities in Visalia and many people utilize the Lake Kaweah Marina to launch their motor and sailboats for pleasant days on the water. In town, the youth-oriented Plaza Park allows fishing for those aged 14 and under.
