Visalia, California, Jewel of the San Joaquin Valley
Right in the heart of California lies this sparkling city offering the perfect blend of wonderful neighborhoods, prosperous business environment and spectacular natural splendors. Folklore has it that the town received its unusual name from the combination of the surname of its founder, Nathaniel Vice, with the first name of his wife, Sallie. The county seat of Tulare County, Visalia is well situated agriculturally with the world’s leading dairy production and diverse crop production valued at more than four billion dollars annually.
From its inception in the 1850’s, Visalia has been an important midpoint between Los Angeles, to the south, and San Francisco, to the north. As if this important business and cultural vantage point were not enough, Visalia residents enjoy the magnificence of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the east.
There is definitely a small town feel about Visalia but the proximity to major metropolitan areas and incredible natural resources makes it the ideal location to raise families while accessing cultural and recreational amenities both locally and in the nearby cities.
